Denmark is a diverse holiday destination that offers fun and relaxation for the whole family. Our family-friendly neighboring country can be reached in a short time by car, ship and plane and is therefore particularly suitable for young families who cannot travel far away due to their small children.
Our northern neighbor offers a wide range of accommodation options, so it is not difficult to find a cheap one in Denmark at short notice. There are inexpensive hotels scattered across the country where children are more than welcome. As an alternative to staying in a hotel, there are numerous holiday apartments and holiday homes in Denmark, especially in the coastal areas, which can be rented relatively cheaply. Nature-loving holidaymakers can also spend the night with the whole family on one of the country’s many beautiful campsites. For children, it is usually a very special and exciting experience to spend the night in a tent or caravan in close proximity to nature.
Bathing fun in the coastal paradise
Beach sand and the sound of the sea as far as the eye can see can be found along the more than 5,000 kilometers of coastline of the country on the enchanting sandy beaches, which invite you to swim, snorkel and relax. Some beach regions are more lively, others offer peace and quiet in seclusion. The water quality is constantly monitored on all beaches. The Baltic Sea is particularly suitable for swimming for small children due to the calm water. At the North Sea the sea is a bit stormier, here young parents should keep a close eye on their little children while they are splashing around or, preferably, not leave them alone.
